Doors open at 7:30am. Students won’t be monitored before this time. Starting Sept. 11, tutoring will begin and it is important to get here on time especially if they need breakfast.
● All car riders and walkers are to enter through the East side Cafeteria doors. See map below.
● ONLY Bus/Daycare students will enter through the Kindergarten doors and proceed to their classrooms or cafeteria/gym/music room with a teacher.
● Students eating breakfast will enter through the side of the school and proceed to the cafeteria. Please remind them that if they want breakfast they need to go there FIRST. Once they finish eating breakfast, they will go to their class in the gym/cafeteria/music room or classroom depending on the time.
● At 7:47, we will start sending classes to their classrooms starting with Kindergarten.
● East Side Cafeteria Doors will close at 7:55, late students will enter through the front office entrance.
● Please note that parents will only be allowed to enter the East Side Cafeteria Doors the first 3 days of school. From August 21, parents will need to say goodbye at the door or street and ONLY students will be allowed to enter. We will have teachers available to escort and help students find their place and it will help build your child’s independence and confidence. It also allows us to keep our school safe. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Student Drop-Off Procedures
*Morning Arrival
School is dismissed at 3:25pm. All students must be picked up by 3:40pm.
Siblings
● Your older children will walk to the youngest child and sit with them to wait for you. (For example, if you have a 4th grader and a Kindergartener, the 4th grader will walk down to the kindergartener to wait for the parent.)
Parent Pickup (car or walk-up)
Front Dismissal Procedure
● Far left lane- Daycare/Bus ONLY (Please NO PARKING here after 2:30 so we don’t block buses)
● Please get into the lane of your youngest child’s grade level. See map
● The lane closest to the building (right lane) is for Kindergarten pick up, the lane in the middle is 2nd and 4th Grade and the outside lane (left lane) is the Daycare lane.
East Side Dismissal Procedure (Cafeteria Side)
● 1st Grade and 3rd Grade students will be dismissed from the East Side doors. See map
Walkers
● If your child is a walker, then we are walking them to the ‘Meeting Tree’ for them to meet up with their siblings, with the understanding that they are walking home. A child who has not left the property after 2-3 minutes will be taken to their grade level car rider line. If you want us to escort your child to you, then they need to be a car rider.
● Please keep the area in front of the doors clear. Teachers will be walking students to their dismissal spot and need to be able to keep all the kids together.
**We DO NOT allow students to be unattended on school property. Students must use the crosswalks. Bikes and scooters must be walked while on campus property.
